 Oriental Dream Pictures has announced a merger with a new sister company from Japan called Studio Milan. Studio Milan’s first U.S. release through ODP is Sakura, which features performances from three of Japan’s most famous X-rated stars, Hikari Umino, Miriku “Milk” Ichigo and Sakura Sakurada. ODP Sales Manager J.P. said that each girl is the Japanese equivalent of “Jenna Jameson.” ODP reports that the release has been well received domestically with first-day sales of 3,000 units, adding to the 13,000 copies already sold internationally. “My boss and their owner are good friends, and they wanted distribution in America,” J.P. explained. “They’re a newer company and are making very high-quality stuff. Personally, we really like it. I’ve been telling all my distributors to back this up 100 percent. It’s three hours long, and these girls look like they’re really into it.” Umino previously performed in ODP’s Acme, Ichigo appeared in Strawberry Fuck and Sakurada was in Women Teacher in Black Sakura.  Heatwave Classics is a division of Heatwave Video. Based out of California, Heatwave has been involved in the adult Industry since 1992. Heatwave Video owner Gabor Esterhazy told AVN.com that consumers would begin to notice significant changes in the company's line of products beginning this month. Esterhazy said he has made key improvements in production, marketing and sales during recent weeks as Heatwave Video revamps its image. The 15-year industry veteran has hired new directors, green-lighted a handful of new series and turned his focus to hard-edged content. Heatwave's videos now will include more anal, d.p.'s and A2M, more scenes and have running times up to 140 minutes. Esterhazy told AVN.com he refuses to allow Heatwave to be a "mediocre" company that is just part of the "I want to be up there. I want to be one of the best," Esterhazy, who founded Heatwave 12 years ago, said Friday. "Change is always good. The general public will really feel the difference starting this month, and we have a lot of good movies in the can." Heatwave Classics boasts a specialty in ethnic fare that includes titles like South Central Hookers, Girlz N Da Hood and Rump Shakers. |
